Dr. Ramin Hariri

Dr. Ramin Hariri has extensive experience in energy, oil & gas and mining transactions and projects, including sector regulation, compliance, project management, risk management or negotiation of cross-border contracts (license, production sharing agreement, joint operating agreement, services agreement, sale and purchase agreement, power purchase agreement, joint ventures, corporate structuring, …).
He also advises on infrastructure projects and their financing, public-private partnerships, and the regulation of foreign investments in emerging markets.
Over the past 20 years, Dr. Hariri has advised more than 100 companies and governments on their investment projects, in the upstream and downstream oil and gas sectors and in the areas of renewable energy power generation (photovoltaic, wind, biomass, …), fossil fuels (gas, diesel, coal, HFO), midstream and downstream projects (pipelines and refineries), mining (exploration, joint development, production), commodities trading and financing (crude oil, jet fuel, diesel, coal, gold, copper, iron ore, etc.). )
Dr. Hariri held partner positions at Fidal (1998-2013) and at Dentons (2013-2020), where he was the partner in charge of the Energy practice in the Paris office.
As of 1 January 2021, he acts as an APP partner in association with Dentons Europe on all Iran-related matters and as managing partner of RHR Law on all energy (power), oil and gas (upstream and downstream) regulations and investment transactions in Emerging Markets.
Dr. Hariri holds a PhD in Foreign Investment Law from Paris-La Sorbonne. He has been recognized as a Leading Lawyer, Industry focus Energy by The Legal 500 Ranking and named in the Best Lawyers, Corporate Law in Paris.
